Description

DOWSIL™ Primer-C architectural sealant primer is a solvent-containing silane adhesion promoter, purely used for painted surfaces in architectural curtain wall applications.

Functions and advantages

Application

Before using DOWSIL™ Primer-C construction sealant primer, the coated surface must be thoroughly cleaned in advance. First use a brush to remove impurities on the surface, then use a lint-free cloth dipped in a suitable solvent to wipe it off, and then wipe it immediately Dry surface. Dip a lint-free cloth with DOWSIL™ Primer-C primer and apply it on the surface of the non-voided substrate. On the one hand, this method can increase the coverage rate, and on the other hand, it can ensure the formation of a thin and uniform film, which can also be applied with a brush, but the coverage rate will be reduced, and the thickness and uniformity of the film can hardly be guaranteed.

DOWSIL™ Primer-C primer should be applied before the foam stick is installed on the seam. After application, place it at room temperature for 20 minutes or at 5°C (41°F) for 1 hour to dry, then Apply sealant. Because DOWSIL™ Primer-C primer needs to be cured by moisture in the air, at low temperatures, the standing time after applying the sealant should be extended before applying the sealant.
